# -PTF- Accessibility

How we approach accessibility and how to report a problem.

## WCAG conformance level

**Target conformance level: WCAG 2.2 Level AA.** -PTF- Armada aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, including keyboard navigation, browser zoom, clear headings, semantic landmarks and appropriate image text alternatives. Live player-count, server-status and system-requirements updates are also presented with text labels and polite live-region announcements rather than relying on colour alone. Activity post images require text alternatives when added through Admin, and their enlarged lightbox can be closed with its button, the Escape key or the surrounding backdrop. This is our accessibility target, not a claim of external certification.

## Known limitations

Defender is a real-time canvas game designed for a desktop or laptop-sized screen. Its gameplay depends on visual movement and timing and is not currently presented as equivalent WCAG 2.2 Level AA gameplay. Starting a run is deliberately a pointer click/tap action inside the game rather than a keyboard shortcut; the surrounding Apps page, name field and leaderboard dialog use normal web controls where applicable. Automated testing cannot identify every accessibility issue, so real user feedback remains important.
