# Does Star Trek Online have crossplay?

**No.** Star Trek Online's PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions are separate game worlds. Characters, progress, purchases and other game data do not transfer between them.

## Crossplay and transfer at a glance

- **PC ↔ Xbox:** No crossplay or cross-progression.
- **PC ↔ PlayStation:** No crossplay or cross-progression.
- **Xbox ↔ PlayStation:** No crossplay or cross-progression.
- **Move a character or progress to another platform family:** No.
- **Move purchases or items to another platform family:** No.

## Can you transfer your STO account to another platform?

No. Linking a console account to Arc is not the same as transferring the game account or its data.

Xbox and PlayStation accounts can be linked to an Arc account, but STO progress stays on the original game version. Arc says purchases, items, characters and other game data cannot be transferred between the different versions. Its support guidance also states that a PC Lifetime Subscription does not carry over to console.

## What about PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Series X|S?

These are same-console-family compatibility cases, not crossplay or a PC-to-console account transfer.

### PlayStation 4 → PlayStation 5

Sony lists Star Trek Online as a **PS4 Version** playable on PS5. There is no separate native PS5 STO release to transfer into.

### Xbox One → Xbox Series X|S

Microsoft lists the same STO product for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S with **Cross-Gen Multiplayer**, **Series X|S optimisation** and **Smart Delivery**.
